Your 2027 wellness calendar has 12 months. How many will have something in them?

It's October, and the 2027 budget template has just landed in your inbox. There's a line for wellness. Last year it paid for a health talk in March and a step challenge that fizzled out by April, and the rest of the calendar stayed empty.
That pattern is common. AIA Singapore's Corporate Wellness Study found that while 95% of employees think workplace wellness programmes are important, only about half of organisations offer them, and just 32% run something at least once a month. A third of employees (34%) say what's on offer is too generic for them.
In most HR teams, the gap comes down to capacity rather than intent. Every session means sourcing a provider, checking credentials, booking a room, chasing sign-ups and hoping enough people turn up. For a lean team, two or three events a year is what fits around everything else.
When programmes do run, few are measured. The same study found that 54% of employers don't collect feedback or evaluate the impact of what they already offer. That makes the next budget conversation harder, because there's nothing concrete to point to.
Three changes make a year-round calendar realistic.
Spread it across all four areas of wellbeing. Employees want more than fitness classes. The study found 83% of employees value mental wellness programmes, yet financial wellness is offered by only 52% of employers. A calendar that rotates physical health, mental resilience, money matters and team connection reaches people that a single annual health talk never will.
Plan the year in one sitting. Mapping 12 months at once, around your peak periods, festive seasons and company events, is far less work than organising 12 separate events from scratch.
Build in a feedback step. A two-question pulse after each session gives you participation numbers and a sense of what landed. That's the evidence your next budget request needs.
In practice, a year might look like this: a health screening in January, a stress management workshop ahead of mid-year appraisals, a financial planning talk around bonus season, a fitness challenge in the second half and a team session before the year-end break. Five or six well-timed sessions, spread across the year, already put you ahead of most workplaces.
This is what WorkWell with AIA is designed for. It offers more than 100 activities across four pillars (Live Well, Think Well, Feel Well and Plan Well), from on-site health screenings to stress management workshops and financial literacy talks. Standard activities are complimentary, and Wealthdex coordinates the providers, scheduling and logistics, so your team doesn't have to.
One practical note on timing: sessions are booked around 30 days in advance, subject to provider availability.
If you'd like something running before the year-end break, or a health screening to open January, now is the time to plan it.
